Biden Tries to Turn the Tables on Trump: ‘He’s About as Old as I Am’
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

President Biden has responded to claims about his age by highlighting that he knows who his wife is, unlike his opponent. As part of his efforts to reassure voters of his fitness for another term, he appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and took a playful jab at former President Donald J. Trump’s memory issues.

During the interview, Mr. Meyers jokingly mentioned that classified information suggested President Biden is 81 years old, to which the president humorously replied, “Who told you that? That’s classified!” He then criticized Mr. Trump for forgetting his wife’s name in a video.

President Biden emphasized that the age of the candidates is not the focus of the election, but rather the age of their ideas. He pointed out that Mr. Trump’s policies would take the country backward on various issues.

President Biden has faced scrutiny over his memory, especially after a report described him as an elderly man with a poor memory. Similarly, Mr. Trump has had his own moments of confusion in recent weeks, including mixing up names and making inaccurate statements.

Despite the humorous tone of the interview, President Biden and Mr. Meyers also discussed serious topics such as the candidates’ ideas and the importance of younger voters in the upcoming election.

The interview also touched on memes and conspiracy theories surrounding the president, showcasing a mix of light-hearted banter and political commentary.
