US President Joe Biden is set to honor seven veterans of the Korean and Vietnam wars with the prestigious Medal of Honor and eight law enforcement officers with the Medal of Valor for acts of extraordinary courage. Among the recipients is Vietnam War veteran Kenneth J. David, the only living Medal of Honor recipient this year, recognized for his bravery in saving wounded soldiers in 1970. The Medals of Valor will be presented in a private ceremony in the Oval Office, while the Medal of Honor recipients will be honored in a public ceremony at the White House’s East Room.
