Sen. Bernie Sanders criticized Novo Nordisk, claiming CEOs of generic pharmaceutical companies can produce and sell Ozempic for less than $100 a month. He made the remark during an expert roundtable event on Capitol Hill ahead of Novo Nordisk CEO Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen’s testimony before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee.
