Last Madoff victim fund payout brings recovery to nearly 94% of Ponzi scheme losses, DOJ says

The Department of Justice announced the final distribution from a fund for victims of Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme, with over $131 million going to more than 23,000 victims worldwide. This brings the total distributed to over $4.3 billion for more than 40,000 victims in nearly 130 countries, covering nearly 94% of estimated losses.
