Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has sold his historic car collection to Red Bull heir Mark Mateschitz for a world-record price, including Ferraris raced by F1 champions. Despite interest from sovereign funds, Ecclestone’s 69-car collection was sold to Mateschitz, who plans to make it accessible to the public. The undisclosed amount, reportedly around ÂŁ500m, marks the largest single transaction in car collecting history, with Ecclestone expressing satisfaction in knowing the cars will be displayed in a museum for all to enjoy.
