Quebec proposes bill banning safe consumption sites within 150m of a school

Construction is underway for a new supervised inhalation center in Montreal, designed to also provide housing, a community center, and meals, while permitting the injection of hard drugs. Bill 103, introduced by Social Services Minister Lionel Carmant, empowers the Health Ministry to impose cleanliness and safety conditions on supervised consumption sites, with the potential for authorization to be revoked if these standards are not met. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to address public health concerns related to substance use in the community.
