Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett has been selected for Canada’s men’s hockey team for the Milan Cortina Olympics, replacing the injured Anthony Cirelli of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Cirelli was injured in a game against the Boston Bruins, where he has recorded 15 goals and 20 assists this season. Bennett, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, has 19 goals and 23 assists this season and previously represented Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off. Canada’s first Olympic game is scheduled for February 12 against Czechia.
