Junior doctors in West Bengal are staging a protest against the alleged sexual assault and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital. Following the assault of three doctors and three nurses after a patient’s death at another hospital, the medics have accused the state government of failing to provide them with security. They plan to resume total cease work across all hospitals in Bengal on Monday after hearing the RG Kar case in the Supreme Court.
