Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee appealed to protesting junior doctors in West Bengal to end their fast unto-death, inviting them for discussions at Nabanna on Monday to resolve issues surrounding the RG Kar hospital rape-murder. Chief Secretary Manoj Pant also invited the doctors for talks, stating that most demands had been addressed. Banerjee urged the doctors to consider public health, promising reforms and infrastructure upgrades in state-run hospitals to ensure medical services for the common people.
