RCMP in Pictou County have charged Daniel Robert Martell, 34, the stepfather of missing children Lilly and Jack Sullivan, with sexual assault, assault, and forcible confinement involving an adult complainant. Martell was arrested on Monday and all charges relate to incidents that occurred between September 2024 and March 2025 in Lansdowne. He has been released on conditions and is set to appear in court on March 2 for arraignment. Lilly, six, and Jack, four, were reported missing from their home on May 2 last year, prompting extensive searches that have yet to locate them.
