The BBC was warned of Gregg Wallace allegedly making lewd comments and asking for female production staff’s personal phone numbers in 2022, with director Dawn Elrick sending a letter containing anonymous accounts of sexism in the TV industry. A complaint over Wallace’s comments in 2017 was reported, prompting him to step away from Celebrity Masterchef while misconduct complaints are reviewed by Banijay UK. Wallace, facing allegations of inappropriate sexual comments from 13 people, denies engaging in sexually harassing behavior.
