Bay Area flood control project first authorized 70 years ago finally to be finished

Llagas Creek in Morgan Hill has experienced frequent flooding over the years, causing damage to businesses, homes, and farm fields. A flood control project was authorized by the federal government in 1954 to address the issue, and now construction is close to completion to bring the area up to modern flood standards. Santa Clara Valley officials have been overseeing the project, which is expected to greatly reduce the risk of flooding in the future.
