Barbecue superfan says favorite dish is an entire alligator: 'Turkey of the swamp'

Chef Erik Svendsen from Provo, Utah, has started showcasing his cooking skills on social media, where he cooks unique dishes such as alligator, which he calls “the turkey of the swamp.” He cooks the alligator for about three-and-a-half hours, using a special brine and Cajun spices. Svendsen recommends getting alligators from Louisiana or Florida and uses Swamp Boys Original BBQ Sauce to enhance the flavor. Despite initial skepticism, his neighbors loved the alligator meat he prepared. He learned how to cook alligators by researching and watching tutorials.
