First Image of Baby Boy Attacked by Family Dog

A nine-month-old baby, Jonte William Bluck, tragically died after being attacked by his family’s XL Bully dog while in the care of his father in Rogiet, Gwent, on November 2, 2025. He suffered severe head injuries and died before reaching the hospital, with the inquest revealing a provisional cause of death as a compressive head injury consistent with a dog bite. Following the incident, Jonte’s father and another adult were arrested on suspicion of child neglect and being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog, later released on bail. The dog was subsequently euthanized, and the inquest has been adjourned until August 2026 as investigations continue.
