UBC glass-blower Brian Ditchburn remembers his daughter Kaelin fondly, who passed away at a young age after battling a seizure disorder. Despite his grief, Ditchburn honors her memory by creating beaker mugs to raise money for B.C. Children’s Hospital and the Surrey Centre for Child Development. In addition to his charity work, Ditchburn offers glass-blowing lessons and stress-relief therapy for students at UBC, where he has worked for 25 years.
