Family Held for 13 Hours in $2M Crypto Theft

A 35-year-old man, Tsz Wing Boaz Chan, was sentenced to seven years in prison for a brutal home invasion in British Columbia, where he and accomplices assaulted a family over 13 hours while stealing $2.2 million from their cryptocurrency accounts. The attackers, posing as delivery personnel, restrained the family, subjected them to torture, and forced them to divulge sensitive information. The ordeal left deep psychological scars on the victims, who reported lasting trauma and anxiety. Chan entered Canada shortly before the attack and was arrested upon his return months later.
