Azerbaijan, Pakistan explore post-conflict regional situation (UPDATE)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammed Ishaq Dar during the Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels, as reported by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The discussions focused on the strong bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, which are built on mutual trust, solidarity, and respect. The ministers also explored opportunities for collaboration and assessed the current regional dynamics.

Minister Bayramov congratulated his counterpart on his appointment as Foreign Minister and wished him success in his new role.

Both parties expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between their countries, emphasizing the importance of high-level visits and comprehensive engagement in various sectors. They highlighted the potential for cooperation in economics, transportation, trade, and other areas between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

During the meeting, Bayramov provided updates on the preparations for COP29, as well as the reconstruction efforts in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, smart city development, green energy initiatives, challenges posed by landmines, and the normalization of relations with Armenia.

The ministers also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern during the meeting.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed the post-conflict regional situation during their meeting at the Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s Twitter page.

The discussions included prospects for cooperation in economics, transportation, and communications between the two countries, as well as preparations for COP29.

Bayramov is currently on a working visit to Belgium, where he will attend and speak at the Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels. The summit aims to highlight the critical role of nuclear energy in addressing global concerns such as reducing fossil fuel dependency, enhancing energy security, and promoting economic growth.
