Te Arai Residents Raise Concerns Over Festival Traffic Safety
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A rural traffic jam north of Auckland left festivalgoers and residents frustrated as hundreds queued for hours en route to the Shipwrecked Festival, held near Te Arai Links. Locals expressed concerns over an “endless stream of traffic” on country roads, with one resident stating they feel unsafe pulling out of their driveways. The delays were exacerbated by the festival coinciding with Waitangi Day. The event, located between Spectacle Lake and Tomorata Lake, is approximately a 90-minute drive from Auckland.
