Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a review of gun laws and support for Jewish Australians following a deadly shooting during a Hanukkah celebration in Bondi Beach, which resulted in at least 15 fatalities, including a 10-year-old girl. Albanese condemned the attack as an act of terror and anti-Semitism, while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu criticized the government’s handling of Jewish community safety. In response, Albanese pledged increased funding for community security and a meeting with state premiers to discuss stricter gun regulations. The shooting has reignited scrutiny over Australia’s gun laws, originally tightened after the 1996 Port Arthur massacre.
