Auston Matthews has found support from Jack Eichel in seeking outside help for his injury, with Eichel sharing his own experience of fighting with management to undergo a back surgery recommended by his personal chiropractor and an outside specialist. Eichel’s trade to the Vegas Golden Knights allowed him to have the operation, leading to a Stanley Cup win one season later after the Sabres had taken away his captaincy for failing a medical check.
