Massive rains from Hurricane Helene left people stranded and awaiting rescue, following the storm that killed at least 64 people and caused widespread destruction across the U.S. Southeast, knocking out power to millions. Janalea England of Steinhatchee, Florida, described the situation as unprecedented, with many people left homeless in the aftermath of the tempest. Cleanup efforts are underway as communities come together to address the aftermath of the devastating hurricane.
