The Supreme Court allowed students who dropped out between November 5 and November 18, 2024, to register for JEE-Advanced after a change in eligibility criteria. The court noted discrepancies in the number of attempts allowed for the exam and permitted affected students to apply. The decision came after petitions challenging the reduction in attempts for JEE-Advanced aspirants were filed, citing arbitrary changes in eligibility criteria by the Joint Admission Board.
