Ashburton ‘finds value’ in LGNZ membership

Ashburton councillors Carolyn Cameron and Richard Wilson attended the recent LGNZ conference in Wellington, prompting councillor Tony Todd to question the town’s membership. Todd raised concerns about LGNZ being left-leaning and suggested reconsidering membership in light of Auckland’s withdrawal. However, Ashburton ultimately decided to maintain its membership with LGNZ.
