Claremore senior Carter Gibson won the Class 5A Boys Cross Country State Championship in a historic finish, outleaning Bishop Kelley’s Eli Horeled by just one-hundredth of a second with a time of 15:41.04, breaking his own school record. Claremore’s boys finished ninth as a team, with Gabriel Rodriguez placing sixth. The Claremore girls took eighth place, led by Eleanor Isaacs’ personal best of 20:40.4. Bishop Kelley claimed both team titles, showcasing a strong overall performance.
