US sinks Iranian vessel in Indian Ocean, claims Araghchi

The United States has reportedly sunk an Iranian warship, the frigate Dena, in the Indian Ocean while it was in international waters, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He condemned the action as an “atrocity at sea,” noting that the ship, which was carrying around 130 sailors, was a guest of the Indian Navy. Araghchi warned that the U.S. would “bitterly regret” this precedent.
