UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed regret over missed diplomatic opportunities regarding the Iran conflict during an emergency UN Security Council meeting. He did not confirm reports of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran’s UN Ambassador, Amir-Saeid Iravani, stated that Iran is exercising its right to self-defense against aggression, labeling all hostile bases as legitimate military targets. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran.
