EU Indicates Iran Possible Crime Against Humanity
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The European Parliament has condemned the Iranian regime’s violent crackdown on protests, stating it may amount to crimes against humanity and urging the UN to document the death toll, which could be as high as 35,000. MEPs called for the release of detained women, including Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi, and an end to acts such as arbitrary detention and torture. They also demanded protection for healthcare workers treating the injured and accountability through international judicial systems. The resolution includes calls for targeted sanctions and support for families of detainees to counteract the regime’s hostage diplomacy.
