Pope Leo XIV Calls for Two-State Solution in Lebanon
Pope Leo XIV, during his inaugural trip to Lebanon, emphasized the necessity of a two-state solution to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, recognizing Israel’s current reluctance to accept this resolution. He articulated this view to journalists while flying from Turkey to Lebanon, stating, “We all know that at this time Israel still does not accept that solution, but we see it as the only solution.” His message underscores the ongoing complexities surrounding peace initiatives in the region.
