Elderly Irish woman Máire ní Mhurchú, known as D Murphy, was arrested by the IDF in Khalet al-Daba’a, West Bank, while volunteering for the International Solidarity Movement alongside Swedish activist Susanne Björk. Both women were detained for being in a closed military zone after allegedly refusing IDF orders to leave the area; Björk is set to return to Sweden, while D Murphy is contesting a deportation order at Ben-Gurion Airport. Murphy’s son expressed pride in her activism for Palestinian rights, highlighting her commitment to justice.
