OTTAWA — The Department of National Defence (DND) and Canadian Forces (CAF) are suing the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency (NSIRA) to block the release of a report that criticizes their handling of human intelligence sources, claiming it contains sensitive information that could harm national defense. The lawsuit argues that NSIRA acted unreasonably in refusing all requested redactions before the report’s potential publication, challenging the agency’s discretion and jurisdiction in such matters.
