Aristocrat Linked to Churchill and Diana Charged with Strangulation

Charles James Spencer-Churchill, the 12th Duke of Marlborough and a relative of Sir Winston Churchill and Diana, Princess of Wales, has been charged with three counts of intentional strangulation, allegedly occurring between November 2022 and May 2024 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. The 70-year-old, known as Jamie, is scheduled to appear in Oxford Magistrates’ Court after his arrest in May 2024. Blenheim Palace, his ancestral home, is managed by the Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation, which has stated it cannot comment on the charges. Spencer-Churchill previously battled drug addiction and inherited his dukedom in 2014.
