A court in Argentina dropped charges of criminal negligence against three of the five people indicted in connection with the death of Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer who fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires last October. The ruling cleared Rogelio Nores, Gilda Martin, and Esteban Grassi of negligent homicide charges, citing lack of evidence to prove their responsibility for Payne’s death. The other two defendants, Ezequiel David Pereyra and Braian Paiz, remain in custody on charges of supplying narcotics to Payne, facing a sentence of four to 15 years in prison.
