Albania’s Archbishop Anastasios, who revived the Orthodox Church after the fall of communism in 1990, has died at 95. He rebuilt the church from the ground up, established institutions, and formed clergy in his 33-year service. Anastasios was also known for interfaith dialogue, educational efforts, and revitalizing the church in post-communist Albania.
