Arab, Muslim nations oppose Israel’s plan for Gaza crossing

Foreign ministers from Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and the United Arab Emirates criticized Israel for its one-way exit plan at the Rafah border crossing, which allows Palestinians to leave but not return, and blocks humanitarian aid. The plan violates a US-led peace plan and efforts for sustainable peace. The ministers called for Israel to comply with the peace plan, reopen the crossing in both directions, and support the formation of a technocratic Palestinian government for the two-state solution. Arab and Muslim countries are concerned about the displacement of Palestinians and emphasize the need for Palestinian self-determination in the peace process.
