App may help people have lucid dreams, research suggests

A new app developed by researchers at Northwestern University may help increase the chances of having lucid dreams by training users to hear beeping sounds overnight. Participants in the study reported a significant increase in lucid dreaming after using the app for seven days, with an average of 2.11 lucid dreams per week compared to 0.74 before. This research suggests that sensory cues during REM sleep can lead to greater awareness and control in dreams, offering potential benefits for personal growth and consciousness research.
