A deer stuck on unopened REM tracks between Pointe-Claire and Kirkland was tranquilized and removed by Wildlife Preservation Canada workers, after initial attempts to coax the animal failed. The deer was safely transported to a wooded area in Kirkland and released, without any danger or testing required. The broken fence where the deer gained access to the tracks has been fixed by REM workers to prevent future incidents.
