Majority of polled Canadians had a two-word response to King Charles' throne speech

A recent Angus Reid Institute poll revealed that 83% of Canadians are indifferent about King Charles III’s throne speech to open the 45th parliament, despite the event being touted as significant for Canada’s constitutional history. While 37% view the speech positively, 58% of those who feel positively remain indifferent about its implications. Additionally, support for the monarchy is declining, with only 19% viewing Charles as both British and Canadian royalty, and more Canadians (40%) opposing the status quo than supporting it (30%).
