Passengers in Greater Montreal will have to wait until fall of 2025 before the rest of the REM light-rail network is completed, with the connection to Trudeau airport scheduled for 2027. The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec’s infrastructure arm announced the delay earlier this year, pushing back the start of service from 2024. The timeline for the portions of the REM connecting downtown Montreal with the West Island and Deux-Montagnes has been revised, leaving commuters waiting for at least another year before they can hop aboard.
