A terror suspect, Naveed Akram, charged with 15 counts of murder for a shooting at a Jewish Hanukkah celebration in Sydney, has failed to secure a 40-year anonymity order for his family. Judge Hugh Donnelly emphasized the importance of open justice, rejecting Akram’s request due to the public interest and existing online exposure of his family’s identities.
