Alberta’s Catholic health authority appoints new board chair

Covenant Health in Alberta appoints Tim Spelliscy as the new board chair, replacing former premier Ed Stelmach, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Spelliscy, with a background in broadcast journalism and community service, aims to advance the organization’s mission of compassionate care amidst health care transformations. Stelmach will continue as past chair as Covenant Health operates 17 facilities in Alberta, including the Misericordia and Grey Nuns hospitals in Edmonton.
