Albania shuts down TikTok for a year amid concerns over violence among children

The Albanian Cabinet has decided to shut down TikTok for 12 months due to concerns of inciting violence and bullying, particularly among children. Education Minister Ogerta Manastirliu mentioned plans to work with TikTok on implementing filters and adding the Albanian language to the app. The move was initiated after a fatal stabbing incident involving teenagers that started from a quarrel on TikTok, prompting the government to take action despite opposition objections.
