Albania plans to establish a sovereign Muslim microstate in Tirana, run by the Sufi sect Bektashi, known for promoting religious harmony and dialogue. The order, founded in the 13th century in the Ottoman Empire, will create a Vatican-like enclave within the capital to serve as their political home.
