Alabama A&M now says LB Burnett still alive

Alabama A&M linebacker Medrick Burnett Jr. remains hospitalized with a head injury from an October game, despite initial reports of his death which were retracted by the school. Burnett, a redshirt freshman from California, joined the team this summer after transferring from Grambling State, and has played in seven games with five tackles. The school expressed regret for the false information and joy in knowing that Burnett is in stable condition, with a message on a fundraising page asking for prayers for his recovery.
