An Alabama man, Arthur Ray Hanson II, was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison for threatening a sheriff and district attorney in Georgia over Donald Trump’s jail mug shot. Hanson left threatening voicemails to Fulton County officials, warning of consequences if Trump’s mug shot was taken. He pleaded guilty to transmitting interstate threats, used racial slurs, and was ordered to pay a fine, serve supervised release, and has bipolar disorder.
