Former Tory MP Aidan Burley, who organized a Nazi-themed stag party and was later sacked as a ministerial aide, has joined Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, with Farage welcoming his defection as detrimental to the Conservative Party. Despite a previous incident in 2011 where Burley purchased a Nazi uniform for the groom and allowed a Nazi-themed toast, a Conservative Party investigation determined he was not racist but had acted in an “unacceptable” manner. This move comes after a Reform candidate made controversial comments suggesting the UK would have been better off accepting Hitler’s offer of neutrality during World War II.
