AI skills are in demand but may not lead to higher salaries

Artificial intelligence skills are increasingly sought after by employers, yet only a small percentage are willing to offer higher pay. A Payscale report reveals that while over 60% of companies are seeking AI proficiency, only 14% provide increased base salaries, with 55% not offering any pay differentials for these skills. Despite AI’s potential to replace certain jobs, most employers, 59%, do not plan to use AI in place of human workers, although new roles in AI development and data analysis are emerging.
