African ministers at the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum were assured of Russia’s support in various sectors by Foreign Minister Lavrov on behalf of Putin, amid Africa’s distancing from the West. Putin emphasized strengthening relations with Africa and promoting a “bipolar world” vision, with Mali’s minister highlighting Russia’s non-colonial stance. The conference aims to bolster cooperation in fighting terrorism, epidemics, and natural disasters, following the success of the 2023 Russia-Africa Summit.
