China-Africa relations were in the spotlight at the 9th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing from September 4-6, 2024, under the theme “Joining hands to advance modernisation and build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.” This triennial forum serves as a platform for China to demonstrate its influence and for African nations to engage in discussions and cooperation agreements with the continent’s largest lender.
