The Angolan Government is urging the World Bank to develop an Integrated Electricity Action Plan for Africa from 2025-2029 to address the continent’s energy deficit, which currently affects over 600 million people. Emphasizing the need for a diverse energy mix including renewables, natural gas, and nuclear power, Angola aims to collaborate and invest in cleaner energy solutions. Through initiatives like Mission 300 and Energy Pacts, Angola seeks to achieve sustainable and inclusive energy access, in alignment with the World Bank’s energy transformation program to reach 200 million Africans by 2030.
