Fremantle has selected forward Tobyn Murray from Geelong’s reserves with their second pick (40th overall) in the AFL draft, after failing to secure West Coast’s Tylah Williams. The 20-year-old, who scored 22 goals in 17 VFL games last season, aims to make an impact as a mature-aged draftee. His notable performances include a five-goal game against Greater Western Sydney. Murray joins Adam Sweid in transitioning from Victoria to Fremantle.
